Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, CD PROJEKT S.A. is a holding company operating in the video games industry and responsible for the international successes of The Witcher series video games, which won over 200 awards worldwide; GOG.com, the 2nd biggest independent digital distribution platform of downloadable computer games worldwide; and CDP.PL, the famous retail & digital distributor of games and movies operating in Poland.
As part of its expansion, the CD PROJEKT S.A. group is looking for a Business Development Manager to join an ongoing project in the video distribution field.
Business Development Manager
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
· Budgeting (P&L) and preparing offers to sign digital distribution rights for video content (movies/TV).
· Later on, presenting such offers to the relevant rights holders and negotiating with these companies all the way until the final signature.
· Maintaining a clear communication line with the Managing Director and other departments of the company to let them know about your progress, upcoming titles and cover their possible questions regarding the above mentioned.
· Account management: being the main point of contact for a selection of rights holders, reviewing our company’s performance for them, ensuring good communication and maintaining a high overall satisfaction.
· Attending trade shows whenever needed to meet ongoing partners and find new content to be signed.
· Being constantly up to date with the latest video industry (movies/TV) news and digital trends. Identifying and reporting possible business opportunities to the Managing Director.
Qualifications
· Solid organizational skills, combined with an ability to prioritize your work to meet deadlines.
· Good command of the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and especially Excel.
· Feeling comfortable with maths in order to budget any business idea or model you have in mind.
· Solid written and spoken English is a must.
· Interpersonal skills to maintain a clear and efficient communication line with other departments of the company, but also with external partners.
· An analytical mind: ability to consider numerous details at a glance in order to make rock solid decisions.
· A creative & broad-minded approach: defining solutions sometimes requires looking outside of the box.
· Proven knowledge of the movie & TV industries: key players (distributors, content owners), general market trends.
Experience required
· At least 3 years of professional experience in a position involving at least half of the above-mentioned responsibilities and qualifications. Also, the more international and digital that experience is, the better!
Would be considered as a plus
· Knowing the video industry & general trends is only one side of the coin: we would also like you to be passionate about movies and television. If you have a huge collection of titles at home and spend your nights watching them, that is what would make you an even more special applicant!
